Does Ticketmaster release more tickets when the day of the concert nears?

I must get to the AP Tour but unfortunately I found out a little late and now the tickets are all sold out.

Both the promoter (Alternative Press) and the Ticketmaster site said the April 10th date was sold out.

But I heard Ticketmaster sometimes sells some when the date of the concert nears.

True? Thanks if you can help!
